Jacqueline McLauchlan MBACP

CBT psychotherapy with mindfulness and integrative approaches for change.

I’m Jacqueline, a CBT psychotherapist offering a calm, compassionate space to explore thoughts, urges and patterns that may feel hard to manage alone.

Many people come to therapy struggling with many issues, I work alongside you to make sense of what is happening internally and externally to reduce distress, and support meaningful and lasting change.

I also support those struggling with repetitive patterns, compulsions, or difficulties managing emotions, helping you develop practical tools and strategies alongside compassionate understanding.

Specialisms - alongside my private practice I work within a crisis centre with people experiencing suicidal thoughts, self harm, addictions and adverse effects of childhood trauma.

How I work

My work is grounded in CBT, offering structure, practical tools and a collaborative framework to help you understand and change difficult thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Sessions are tailored to your needs and pace, within a safe and non judgemental space.

Frisch & regional

Where helpful, I gently integrate mindfulness, meditation and other supportive practices to aid emotional regulation, calm the nervous system, and increase self awareness. These are offered collaboratively, guided entirely by your needs, and designed to enhance therapy rather than replace it.
